John Wick AAA game and new SAW project to be announced soon, says Lionsgate chairman

As spotted by Tech4Gamer, Lionsgate Chairman Adam Fogelson has revealed that a John Wick AAA game and a new SAW project will be announced soon. The comments were made during Lionsgate’s Q2 2026 earnings call in November 2025, but appear to have gone largely unnoticed until now.

Fogelson says, “Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities around John Wick and Saw and some others we’ll be announcing soon.” No further details were shared, but Lionsgate has previously expressed interest in developing a major AAA game based on the John Wick franchise.

During an earnings call in 2022, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer told investors that “there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick,” adding that the company had fielded proposals and was “interested in moving that forward.”

As for the SAW franchise, there have previously been rumors of a survival horror AAA game in development. These rumors suggested an announcement in 2024 followed by a 2025 release, neither of which materialized.

Both John Wick and SAW are blockbuster franchises for Lionsgate. John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves, has spawned four films, as well as the spin-off Ballerina. The franchise’s only video game is John Wick Hex, a tactical role-playing experience released in 2019 that serves as a prequel to the films. We awarded John Wick Hex an 8/10 in our review.

Meanwhile, the SAW franchise has produced ten films, with an eleventh currently in production. However, there have only been two video game adaptations, and we scored both SAW and SAW 2 a 5/10 in our reviews.

While we await an announcement for the new SAW video game, horror movie fans already have the gory Hellraiser Revival to anticipate in 2026, as well as Paranormal Activity Threshold from the Mortuary Assistant developer, DarkStone Digital.
