Roblox has launched Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts worldwide, adding age-based account types that determine how younger users access games, chat features, and parental controls on the platform.
The global rollout began on June 16, 2026, following an initial launch in Australia, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. Roblox said users are automatically placed into an account type based on their age, with Roblox Kids covering younger children, Roblox Select covering older children and younger teens, and standard Roblox accounts intended for users aged 16 and over.
Roblox Kids accounts have the strictest default settings. Chat is disabled by default for users under 9, though parents can choose to allow in-game text chat for children aged 5 to 8. Where enabled, chat is limited to users in the same or similar age groups, or to Trusted Friends.
Roblox Select accounts are designed for users aged 9 to 15. These accounts allow access to a broader catalog than Roblox Kids, while retaining age-based limits. Roblox said chat access increases gradually for age-checked users in this group, with parents able to adjust standard chat settings until their child turns 16.
Users who have not completed an age check cannot use chat, regardless of their self-declared age. Roblox said age checks may use ID verification or secure facial age estimation. Self-declared users aged 5 to 8 are placed into Roblox Kids accounts with chat off, while self-declared users aged 9 and older are placed into Roblox Select accounts with chat off.
The new account types also affect which games are available to younger users. Roblox said games included in the Kids and Select catalogs undergo additional reviews beyond its standard moderation systems. Developers must verify their identity, secure their account with two-factor authentication, and either hold a subscription or pay a one-time refundable publishing fee before their games can be considered for younger users.
In addition, games with social hangout features, free-form drawing features, or sensitive issues are not allowed in the Kids or Select catalogs. Roblox Moments, a feature for sharing gameplay clips, is also unavailable to Kids and Select accounts at launch.
The company is also going to be limiting social media links. At launch, social media links can only be shared or viewed by age-checked users aged 16 or older across user profiles, game detail pages, Community pages, and Creator Hub pages.
Parents who link their Roblox account to a child’s account can use parental controls to adjust chat settings, block or allow specific games, manage Trusted Friend requests, view friend lists, and set screen-time or spending limits, depending on the child’s age.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
