John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando has its first major content update coming, and it’s letting players get their hands on it ahead of launch.
The test comes via the Public Test Server, which is an optional versithat on of the game players can get and play around with the upcoming changes.
How to access the Toxic Commandos Public Test Server
To get on the Public Test Server, you will need to check it out in the Steam library. There’s a separate game client that needs to be downloaded rather than switching game versions via the typical properties, Steam beta versions method.
It’s also worth noting that the devs say that any PTS save files do not and will not carry over to the base game when the patch goes live. Trying to copy the saves over may cause corruption between game saves. You have been warned.
The interesting thing about the Test Server is that everything is unlocked, and all characters will be level 40 with 40 skill points for all classes. It means you don’t need to grind, and you can jump straight into testing all difficulty content and builds you want to mess around with.
The main purpose of the test is for players to try the Insane mode coming to the game. That difficulty is unlocked in the Test Server to get feedback.
The base game will require you to beat the Very Hard difficulty for each mission to unlock it. So, get your group together for Toxic Commando’s hardest co-op content.
More juicy details on the Toxic Commando Public Test Server
Insane difficulty will require players to have completely maxed out classes to beat. So that’s something for late-game longevity to grind through, alongside player coordination with other players.
There’s also a prestige weapon system change that stops you from losing attachments and tiers when prestiging them. Respawn pod is changing, so the first player that dies should enter a pod between 100 and 160 meters away.
There are major balance changes coming to each class too, affecting ability damage buffs, ability durations and cooldowns, and other features.
There are plenty of bug fixes too and other quality of life features. You can find the full test server patch notes on the Steam blog post.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
